This is my own song in Russian Bard song genre. I know I got no voice at all and my guitar playing skills wish was better. But this is kinda genre which does not required them to be really good. The term "Bard song" came to be used in the Soviet Union in the early 1960s, and continues to be used in Russia today, to refer to singer-songwriters who wrote songs outside the Soviet establishment. Because in bard music songwriters perform their own songs, the genre is also commonly referred to as author song. Bard poetry differs from other poetry mainly in the fact that it is sung with simple guitar accompaniment as opposed to being spoken. Another difference is that this form of poetry focuses less on style and more on meaning. This means that fewer stylistic devices are used, and the poetry is often in the form of a narrative. What separates bard poetry from other songs is the fact that the music is far less important than the lyrics; chord progressions are often very simple and tend to repeat from one bard song to another. A far more obvious difference was the commerce-free nature of the genre; songs were written to be sung and not to be sold. hello dancing bear sorry for not answering earlier. concering your questions: no this type of music we dont have in germany. but it is good so, this type of music only russians can sing :) i like it very much, i also like the russian anthem very much :)
concering gdr-band "puhdys: yes they still play concerts ;) and yes i was born in east-berlin. when the berlin wall came down i was 10 years old. but old enough to have many memories of this time, the 80ies: a decade i can remember a lot ;)
Yes, I got many memories of this time too!!! It was just like new world opening up for us! I was a little older, on my 20s, just came back from military service... we got lot of underground rock music starting to break the ground... I started new rock album, please feel free to check and do some critic on it. Before I been doing some rock real saldom, I'm steel not real familiar on what MS can do in rock...

back in time i saw a lot of russian soldiers in berlin and this was normal for us. and i definitely want to make vacation in russia. i also learned russian language in school for about 7 years (!), but today: i dont can talk it, but i can read it, and i can understand it sometimes :)
Folk music always has big potential and I know you have a future ahead of you! Good and humble song.
Thank you my friend! It's not real folk music, like real country style folk music, but we call that genre sometime "Urban Folk", so that not far away from your classification.
You'll just have to do another one of these. Maybe do one one where that is less of a ballad, one that you can open your voice right up, I would like to hear you at full voice.

Unfortunately, my voice has a very narrow range,so this is probably the only genre in which I can do something. But thanks for good advice, buddy, I'll gonna try another one, just gonna get better mic!
