I'm not much of a jazz fan, but i have heard a few good ones here on MS and i'd say that this one deserves to be in the top 3!! Very well made and i really enjoyed it my friend!!^^ Great song!!
If you're trying to mix genres then this is fine. I thought you wanted it to be "purer" jazz. Hard not to try to please everyone. Remember you can't please everyone no matter what you do. You could have Segovia on here and some people won't like it. Keep on keepin' on my friend!
Close. I think you should leave out whatever drum is making it sound "hip-hop" style. Bass and horns are good, and at least you can call it jazz. So many shakers categorize their songs improperly. Just sayin' in my opinion. Like it though.
I see what you mean, CasualT. I believe it is the 'radio drum' voice that may give it less of a 'jazz' sound...but I was actually trying to walk that thin line between genres as I did with LP. If you get time between making your own terrific songs please give it a listen. It might make clearer the convoluted explanation I just gave...or was that an excuse for failure to please everyone? ...hmmm...not sure.

Is modern jazz a thing, now? I've been thinking about doing some myself (I got the idea from LP because that song is crazy awesome). Great song, jevouseme! I like how produced this is. Keep it up!
Hmmm, I can't say if this jazzy business I've gotten into is a 'thing' 4 me; but I can't easily put together a jazz song from scratch. It's harder for me than any of the other classified genres. I won't use the 'easy' way out and seem to have to hunt for voices & do it the hard way. So, for the moment it's a challenge. I also don't think this song compares to LP as I didn't spend nearly as much time on Jazz of a Time & it's not as unique. Now you know I also can't be brief & simply say THANKS!!!
