if i can hear it i can sample it....so pretty much everything can be sampled...including tracks not allowed to remix but i couldnt do that to anybody. that would just be wrong.

It's good to stay confident though and remember how simple things can be you'll be surprised at how fast you can grow, I only started learning/recording piano close to two years ago in march 2011 during my last semester of college

And yeah clubcreate is cool too I remember DancingBear made a really awesome rap song from there last year and they also have good lyrics for vocals, maybe you can show us another hot beat from there dave haha :), and it would at least be something else fun to try

That's true every program or system you use is different but since you can use mp3 recordings now from whatever platform you like it does make things more flexible for you. I get what you're saying though I haven't really created many instrumentals outside of Musicshake yet besides a few piano/orchestra songs I recorded with mostly violin, one song had more instruments but I basically synched my recorded piano over the original orchestra piece from the mp3 instead of arranging it (Fi's theme)

Oh, whoa there. I'm a n00b at this platform. You and davidk are lightyears ahead of me at this game. I might have done electronica with other software, but that's only been for the last 6 years or so. Each platform is different, as you know, but sampling is a completely new world for me. I won't pretend to know anything like you and david. I am a neophyte when it comes to this. Just wanted you to keep that in mind. :)

As long as you have an easy-access microphone jack on your computer or laptop and a line-in cable which you get for cheap at places like walmart (around 4 dollars I believe) you should be ok ^^. No problem I'd be happy to help out, I actually made a pdf tutorial for this last year for a friend from Japan who didn't know english that well yet so I can link you to that. It basically involves putting the desired mp3 on a portable device like a cell phone or mp3 player to record it into the Musicshake Computer app through a line in cable. Once everything is set up you just have to adjust the player to the correct volume for recording like audacity if you've used that before to record

I am dying to know how to do this. I use other software programs too -- including primarily FL studio! I just have no clue how to mesh the two together with MS. I'm still rather a n00b when it comes to combining platforms. Will you please help me with this? I would be in your debt.
