Dreamers

I dreamed of the touch
Of tender reciprocity.
I dreamed of the smile
And laughter’s spontaneity.
I dreamed of the warmth
Of soft lips against mine.
I dreamed of sharing,
Caring and encouraging.
I dreamed of drifting to sleep
With arms embraced.
I dreamed of waking
With our bodies touching,
And as I awake,
And greet the day,
I cease my dreaming,
While I softly brush fingertips
Against your smooth, slumbering skin.

Our dreams have merged,

Each one of the other,
And have become reality.
