53. Repetition Is A Sign Of Stupidity

My original idea for
"The Unmagnificent Lives Of Adults"
was to do a sort-of "day in the life" kind of thing with lots of everyday sound effects in the background. Then after a short while it would start over again from the beginning, as if it were telling the story of a character who does the exact same things the exact same way every day; the character feels unsatisfied and thus is an example of that title phrase.

But I've done that sort of thing
before
, and it took forever to put it together the way I wanted it. I just didn't feel like doing it again. "TULOA" ended up being more about the mood than the concept in its final version. This is kind of a half-assed attempt at the original idea.

Also, the picture is a parody of the cover of

The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place

by Explosions In The Sky (who sound nothing like this, of course). And the title comes from a silly Instant Messenger away message.
