50. The Unmagnificent Lives Of Adults
Wow. I have now officially uploaded 50 songs to MusicShake. How crazy is that? I never thought I'd still beplaying around withthis about three years ago when I first heard about it on "Attack of the Show."
This is a pretty mellow track with a lot of quiet strings and bells and a really nice clean guitar tone that I like a lot. I actually hadn't even meant for it to have drums in it, but then I stumbled across the sample I ended up using and thought it sounded cool.
The title comes fromthe followinglyric in "Mistaken For Strangers" by the National: "You wouldn't want an angel watching over you/Surprise, surprise, they wouldn't want to watch/Another uninnocent, elegant fall/Into the unmagnificent lives of adults." It's a line that's really stuck with me. I'd rather not have my adult life turn out to be "unmagnificent," you know?
