47. Sirens And Shipwrecks

This song picks up where "Juggernaut" left off and takes it in a slightly creepier direction, though not as creepy as I'd been shooting for to be honest. It's kind of tricky to create musical nightmare fuel. The closest I've come with MusicShake was probably "My Head Is Now A Giant Egg," a sound collage inspired by the Beatles' "Revolution 9."

The title was inspired by a lyric in "There There" by Radiohead: "There's always a siren singing you to shipwreck." In Greek mythology, the sirens were these women on a rock in the middle of the sea bewitching sailors with their voices and causing their ships to crash and sink.
