Being Maleficent's daughter is no picnic. Mal must constantly choose between pleasing her mother (and thus avoiding punishement) and pleasing herself by genuinely helping others.

Mal can't find it in herself to be 100% pure goodness but being 100% evil doesn't bring her happiness either. She needs to find that balance, all while living in her new environment - a perfectly picturesque kingdom called Auradon.

How could Mal from the isle ever fit in amongst nobles and royals on the mainland? A girl can dream, right?
