That feeling of being alone because that person doesn't want to take the risk of becoming close to you. Because they are intimidated by you. They settle for second best because they are afraid of getting what they know they want deep down. They don't choose you because they want to play it safe and settle, instead of taking the risk of being rejected by someone that they'd never reject. To burn with desire and keep quiet about it is the greatest punishment we can bring on ourselves. I'm what you want and even if I do reject you, it will not cause you as much pain as never finding out what could have been. Just take a chance.
