Once upon a time, there lived a girl in her forest home her family had kept her secluded from the nearby town, for fear of corruption and conflict with the townsfolk. It was a quiet and peaceful life there but she longed for more. One day after her parents passed on she ventured closer to town than she usually did, there she met a man and the two became good friends exploring the forest together, laughing and enjoying themselves.

One day the man discovered in himself that he loved this girl, and with this realization he gathered a large bouquet of flowers and traveled to her hut, only to find her gone. As it happened a witch who also lived in the woods had come to be jealous of the girl and the man who loved her. Why should he love her, the witch asked as she conjured magic around her to face the man who had come charging in to save the poor girl.

After a battle against the witch the man scoured the hut for the girl only to find her in a cell cold and lifeless. He gathered her in his arms and shook with disbelief and began to cry and stroke her hair.

His tears and body warmed her and the girl's eyes fluttered open and she smiled softly, and kissed his cheek. I thought you would come for me, her voice was soft and hoarse but it was music to his ears. The two headed back to their homes and loved each other as a prince would love his princess, and a princess her prince.


A generic fairy tale for Oeroe's contest. This was actually tough, I had no direction when I started and then it just started to grow almost out of control...I don't even know how this came to be so big but 37 tracks later it is finished. I hope you enjoy it.
