I had a dream about you...
I dreamed you were there
and that I'd made us dinner,
and, when I awoke,
I found nothing
but an empty chair.
I dreamed I was in the passenger seat,
and you were at the wheel,
but the wind blew through only my hair,
and I was the one driving
and all I could feel
was the emptiness of the seat beside me.
I had a dream about you...
I dreamed I saw your face,
I felt your touch,
I heard your voice,
and it was almost too much...
And when I awoke,
Ifound nothing was there--
nothing but an empty chair.
