When I was about 16 or 17 I wanted to rent a minivan and drive off for about a year. I wanted to drive around without going to school and just max out my family's credit card. I wanted to camp in the car and see many landscapes that I had never seen before. I wanted to play my small beat up guitar for people I didn't know and meet friends that i would probably never see again. I pretty much wanted to be a hippie with a van to sum things up. It sounded great at first until realizing how much I would have to sacrifice to live in a van. My education, friends, family, and for sure, money. My dream wouldn't last forever and my life would be a huge mistake. After finishing college I still hadn't known what to do or who to work for. My attention quickly turned back to the road. I eventually did rent a van and go on the road for about four months before turning back home bare with money. I decided that this being the life I wanted to live, it would have to be with retirement money. I finally got a job and found a nice home to stay in. Ever since then, I've seen my sister get married, my parents grow old and my life the same. I've always wanted to become the person my 16 year old self wanted and this is what this song reminds me of. I wanted to create something that related to my dreams and past. I hope you all enjoy. :)
