I'm terribly sorry for your loss. The driver must've been drunk, heck! That's no excuse for what he/she caused you. Don't worry, your friend is in a better place now and watching over you and everyone he loves. I'm sure he knew the act you tried for saving him meant a lot to him. i'm sure he saw you really cared and genuinely loved him. All you can do is keep living for him, he wouldn't want to see you in pain. This is a very sweet and uplifting song that sounds hopeful :)
