into the night,
lit up by the moon,
and the stars so bright.

You took my hands,
and pulled me in close,
touched your mouth to my ear,
then your nose to my nose.

The grass of the lawn,
cold between my barefoot toes,
but as we started moving,
I could barely even notice.

And as we swayed,
to the cricket band,
I knew I'd always remember,
Our starry eyed slow dance.
