The Dyson Sphere has been broken and worn for many many long years. It cannot run out of energy due to the sun at the center, but its position is slowly shifting. Mysterious forces are working and fighting even now to keep it stable, for even the slightest misfire in the large thrusters cause one side to move too close to the sun and the entire thing would tear itself apart.
