A Poison Tree

I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow.

And I watered it in fears
Day and night with my tears;
And I made it grow with smiles
And soft and blatant lies

And it grew both day and night,
Till it grew a poison fruit.
And my foe saw its shin e.
And he knew that it was mine,

And at night he decided to get it
and went to steal my poison fruit
in the morning i was glad to see
him not breathing beneath the tree.
