"Hey....Juliet."

She looks up at the taller one immediately, her disposition rather tense. Things were serious at that time. Faith and hope were dwindling little by little, crumbs breaking off and falling into a dark abyss deep down below and it's as if they were backed into one small part of that faith.

She was mildly surprised that the recluse responded to that nickname, but that wasn't what was on her mind right now. Avoiding her gaze, she brushed her bangs out of her face, almost losing her words at first. "Do you think...maybe, like, in some alternate universe," the uniform-clad girl is shifting uneasily and she's wondering if she should finish her thoughts "We...could've been friends? Like...did girl stuff. And had sleepovers, and talked about...boys and stuff." She stops, and the air around them feels heavy. Hotaru starts to think she should've kept that damn thought to herself.

She responds. "......Maybe. I...." Before she can get another word out, the other finishes her thoughts for her.

"I would've liked that."
