Feelin' nostalgic again...


It's a person, the people you know, a being to embrace,
Where you came from, where you left behind, where you call home,
What you miss when you are gone, miss when IT is gone,
Old; aged in your mind; an antiquity of the heart,
A smell, a taste, visions and sounds of memories never forgotten,
When you feel comfort, crave warmth, exude enthusiasm, energy, excitement.
You seek it, want it, need it, cannot wait for it, cannot wait to inhale its happiness, to exhale satisfaction...to relieve the pain and sadness of (re)living pain and sadness.
You count down the days, the weeks, the months...the years...to lay your eyes upon it, to lay your feet amongst it, to wrap your arms around it once more...one last time.
It is who you are, where you live, how you live, what you live...why you live.

It's a familiar setting.

**History of the Song: I recall making this at the same time I made "Infallible Dawn" so there's some overlap of some instruments that I liked. The little "poem" above basically wraps up the whole concept of this piece, it being about a place of nostalgia that a person may feel fondly about or long for. All the little details were a pain in the 'assets' to put in, but I think it all worked out okay. I remember adding the acoustic guitars near the end of making it, and they seemed to add just enough to make the song sound like a complete package with which I was satisfied.
