We are an online service offering users the opportunity to create music easily and quickly.
It is easy because you do not need ANY musical training to use Musicshake – you just need to know whether you like what you hear.
It is quick because you can literally complete a track in under a minute – of course,
you can spend more time perfecting and fine-tuning your creations.

There are 2 parts to musicshake:
1) Musicshake web
       This is our web site where users sign up, upload and post songs, share opinions, ask questions,
       and most importantly listen to music by others
2) Musicshake program
      This is a program for the Windows Operating System which users download
     and install on their computers in order to create their own music.
     Once properly installed, users will need to be connected to the internet to be able to create their
     own music using the vast database of music patterns created by musicshake.

You can share with friends, download, make ringtones, use as background music, use as sounds track for you movies etc…

Internet Explorer and Firefox

If you use Internet Explorer, you will be asked to install an ActiveX control that will allow you to launch the musicshake program straight from your web browser.
If you use Firefox, you will not have the ability to launch the musicshake program straight from your web browser – and no ActiveX will be installed on your computer.

Yes you will need to download and install the musicshake program.
If you use Internet Explorer you simply click on the START button on the main page.
If you use Firefox you simply click on the manual download button on the main page.

Memory: 512 MB RAM or more

STEP ONE
Remove the Musicshake application from your system
1) Close all Internet Explorer windows
2) Go to the following folder: c:\windows\downloaded program files
3) Delete musicshake and MusicShakePlayer Control (this deletes the ActiveX for the program launcher and musicshake player)
4) Go to control panel -> add or remove programs -> remove the Musicshake application
This will have removed the musicshake application shortcut from your desktop
STEP TWO
Install the application manually - Click on the manual install link on the main page
STEP THREE
Now try to login to the web site, and then launch the application by clicking on the “MUSICSHAKE START” link OR double click on the musicshake icon on your desktop

This service will be available in the middle of this year.

Here’s a brief description of the charts and lists of songs:
- New Releases (from Shake Party) – this is a list of the most recent songs created and uploaded by our users on the Shake Party board. This list will be the most frequently updated since our users are constantly uploading songs
- Top 50 (part of Shake Charts) – the placement of Top 50 will constantly changed depending on how popular a song is. This is determined by the number of hits, comments, and

We are developing the widgets and flash objects to allow this by April 2008.

Right now we can only allow the use our proprietary audio engine in the musicshake program to play tunes for musicshake. In order to play the music on a generic media player, you would need to download the music – this is a service we are planning to offer around June of this year.

You need to get points by getting hits and by getting comments from other people. If you have a particular song you really want to promote, then simply copy and paste the page where you have posted  your music to an email message and start sending out to your friends. This way, they could come and listen and your points will go up also.
 

The block is the most basic unit for music-making in Musicshake. At this time the length is fixed to 8 musical measures; we will be making them more flexible in the future.

Yes, you just need to create a recording track and connect a microphone.

Currently we only offer one speed (tempo); in the future we will be expanding into various different tempos.

Different keys will be a future functionality. Currently we have our music fixed to the key of G.
