Read as "Hugs and Kisses, New York."

A few friends and I took a trip to New York mid-October to visit some friends and spend a weekend with them. It was the most fun (and the most bold) thing I did that year. They were so much fun. I felt "in" with their group even though I just met them. They drove us around showing us the equivalent of things up there we have in the south. (There's a restaurant chain up north called Tim Horton's. It is LIFE.) They took us to Lake Erie and we could see Canada in the distance. They introduced a game called Odds to us.

A lot of this album, if it wasn't directly inspired by the trip to New York, was inspired by events that surrounded this trip to New York. It's definitely a trip I'll never forget. Just recently, a few of the folks came down for New Year's Eve. It was great to get to see them again. I'll always send my love to New York.
